So, I just got a Zune HD, and it is orgasmic. The sound quality is incredible, it looks beautiful, and the interface is wickedly awesome. Needless to say, I couldn't be more impressed, it's totally worth the $250.
I know most people on VT will have an iPod of some kind. Tell us about your portable music device, and why you like it/hate it.

It has four gigs. It irritates me now since I have a lot of music now and a lot of music to come, so it is quite inconvenient. :P But I love that the ear input plug is on the bottom instead of the top. It is an Apple iPod Nano like second generation, maybe.

I always thought that the Zunes looked really cool, I've wished to have one more than once. I have an iPod touch, I really like it for the most part. I mostly only use it to listen to music, and there's a few apps I enjoy so I don't need much more.

You sound like the kind of person who would like a Zune, it's really made for more music and video-oriented people rather than those who like apps.

Currently I have a 2nd generation 8GB iPod Touch. Its got 515 songs, 30 videos, 1800 pictures, and 80 apps. Needless to say, its nearly full. So when my birthday comes round in November, I'm going to buy a new 4th Gen 32GB iPod Touch.

Oh, my mp3 player?
It's the original 30 Gig IPOD that I've had for about 4 years now. No matter what pair of headphones you use, only one side of the headphones would work (left side). The battery dies extremely fast if you keep the backlight on(30 seconds to 4 minutes). When light is off, you can expect the battery to die in about an hour. It also has a billion scratches from being thrown around, kicked, stomped, bitten on, and purposely put in a bag of nails for fun (That was a couple days ago).
It's a piece of shit. Apple can go fuck themselves.

80GB iPod Classic. It's amazing. It's not as great as it used to be, when I first got it. But, it works for me and I love it :)

This. But I didn't just get mine, I've had mine for about a year now. (or year & 1/2, something like that)
Though, if you want something from ME...... The HD radio is amazing, and the OLED screen looks sweet. Plus there are little asthetic things that happen in the UI that make me smile. Like when you're moving the device, the background imagry, and the text moves around the screen a little bit. Giving you a sense that the things on the screen are physical objects.

Well, I have two iPods. A 3rd gen 8GB nano and a 5th 16GB nano. Both serve me pretty well I suppose. The one I really use is the 5th gen nano. I think I have about 178 MB of space left on it, so it's pretty full and that's all music. I actually have about 35 gigs of music, though I only put whatever I need to run on for the week/month on the 5th gen. I use the 3rd gen as a back up mostly.

Ipod (photo) white-30G got as a birthday present in Oct 2004
Ipod (video) black-80G christmas 2005 i think or 2006
both work great i had to have the battery replaced in the white 1 (my boss that works on computers did it for me)
would like a smaller and cheaper 1 that i can use for running (the 89G) is actually kinda heavy on a 5 1/2mile run!

Well ive 3 for recreational use and a few limited editions i don't touch. my 3 recreational 1s are creative zen. amazing sound quality. they've got between 16 and 32 gb and an expendable memory slot. they play out loud or in headphones. 1 is touchscreen. the screens average 3 inches with hd video. battery lasts around 14 to 32 hours. they're like indestructible which is what i need. i fire them off walls i slam them off shit and just in general throw them off shit and they barely even get a scratch

My main one is a sandisk clip which is great for when you are moving around and stuff and sounds ok. It is 8Gb but takes micro sd cards which is awesome. I use it a lot and the battery lasts for several days even though it is tiny. I also use my phone (was a sony ericcson z710i but now an HTC wildfire). The wildfire sound quality is really really good but there is a bit of hiss before the music kicks in, and it takes standard headphones without needing an adaptor or anything.

My DroiD is my everything. Lol. The sound quality is amazing and the music playback is beautiful. And flash, omg flash is like the best thing on it. I still have, my 2nd gen ipod touch but has a cracked screen and is very slow and buggy on ios4. I still use it for some apps that aren't on the android market. My DroiD has everything that you have to jailbreak an ipod or ipgone to get. Its the best replacement for an ipod touch if you are looking for a replacement. I can't believe that I wanted an iphone. Lol. People don't realize that the phones with android os are far more better than the iphone. It took me a little while to realize that the android devices are better. Someone in my class said that the iphone 4 is the best phone he ever had. I laughed in my head. Lol. He doesn't know what he's missing out on. But no facetime on droid though. Idc anyway cause I don't video chat. And its more customizable than the iphone in so many ways. And dare I say WIDGETS!!!!!!!! And Im saying again, I can't believe that I wanted an iphone for all these years. Lol.

Walkman X series 32GB Walkman. I bought it for music and nothing else and sounds better than any other device i've used. Had it for about 1/2 a year now and get about 7days of regular use out of it before charging. The only thing it would be substituted for would be another Walkman or possbily a Zune since the sound quality is so much better than any Ipod or cheap ass mp3 player.

Sansa Fuze, 4 GB. I also have a microSD card that I use to hold videos. I prefer this to the iPod because it's cheaper, more easily used with Limewire, and it's smaller. Plus since it's not as popular, it's harder to mistake with someone else's and less likely to be stolen.

I have an iPhone 4, iPad, iPod and a dsi and 2 laptops and a desktop computer as my music players. I just got the iPhone so I don't have too much music on that. The computers have iPhone emulators on them if that counts.

I've got a 2006 (Maybe 2005) ipod classic video 30gb. It does the job and I barely use it now.
I'm hoping to get an iphone 3gs/4 next month when I renew my phone contract.

I have an iPhone 4 32GB and an iPad 32GB. I have been used to the iOS since the original iPhone and I could not use anything else, from its simplicity and intuitiveness.

3 questions:
1) What do you think of iOS 4?
2) Is the camera any good?
3) Have you jailbroken it yet and if so how stable is it?
I ask as I'm getting the 32GB one for Christmas.

1) It's the only Apple device I've ever had so I have nothing to compare it to.
2) This (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1074346&postcount=3790) picture of me was taken on my iPod, so you can be the judge. I'm quite pleased with it.
3) Yep, and it works wonderfully- although I don't really download that many apps. All I have are Shazam, Facebook, MSN, and maybe 3 or 4 other things that don't come to mind right away.
