As explosions fill the sky
and rivers fill with red,
clouds rain on their parade
as they gather up the dead.
A cold heart grown accustomed
to militia and bullet holes,
their eyes glazed over
like countless loveless souls.
They march on in the rain
as we cower aside.
In a war this big,
there's no place to hide.
Buildings crumble to the ground,
and were left in their wake.
We're born into a world where
whatever's ours, they take.
Our freedom, our rights,
Our peace and smiles.
They shoot them away
across thousands of miles.
Bomb shells explode like fireworks,
merging with the stars.
Until heaven falls upon us,
we're left with empty scars.
If love was easy,
there wouldn't be a war.
But loving you is simple,
without bruise or sore.
So let them fight for something-
a freedom they never deserved.
We've found our heaven on our own,
with our hearts and souls preserved.
and rivers fill with red,
clouds rain on their parade
as they gather up the dead.
A cold heart grown accustomed
to militia and bullet holes,
their eyes glazed over
like countless loveless souls.
They march on in the rain
as we cower aside.
