When the person who committed suicide was mentally ill and was pushed over the edge by another person. When you're mentally ill you can't think rationally, and if someone does something to hurt you then it's their fault if you commit suicide. But if you have no history of mental illness and are capable of rational thinking during times when you are hurt and/or struggling then they're not to blame.

Legally? When someone physically assists it.

As Amore said... you know when some one is vulnerable and is in a state where they can be pushed (mentally) into doing something so you say the right words to allow them to take their life
in my opinion its as if you killed them thats wrong
i have been there and i know if some1 would have said something for me doing it id have done it. what the person needs is help

Never. People kill themselves. That's why we call it suicide.

What if someone who can't actually physically kill themself (i.e. they are disabled) asks a family member or friend to help them commit suicide? I can't make my mind up about this one.
Technically its murder, and they might not be in the right frame of mind to decide if they want to kill themselves, on the other hand they might have suffered all through their life and given up all hope. I'm not sure someone can be held responsible for this, and especially when they assist their friend/family member legally like going to Swiss suicide clinic.
