it's a slip in the road, a small slip up.

just pick yourself up, and try again.

yeah, you might feel like thats nothing, and you're patetic, but you're not.

two days is a huge achievement, and unless you make it past 2 days, you'll never get to 200, or anything beyond.

Hey Samuel.

Don't put yourself down for making it two days; that's actually an achievement. It's far better than self harming every single day. When you self harm it becomes an addiction, and it feels almost impossible to stop at times. So taking that into consideration, two days is great.

Even though it doesn't feel like it sometimes, self harm can be defeated. It's not something you're going to have to live with forever. It might not be easy to give up but that doesn't mean that it's impossible. Have you ever thought about talking to someone about your self harm or about the problems that are causing you to self harm? It always helps to have support, and sometimes support can fill that need of hurting yourself, and is something that you can find more relief and help in.

Try to come up with some alternatives and ways to cope when you feel the need to self harm. You could go on a walk, read a book, go online, call a friend, anything that helps you to get your mind off of self harming.

I'm here if you ever need to talk things through. Good luck with everything. :)

I know how hard it is to stop, but please don't give up. There are going to be ups and downs in this, but you have to prevail. 2 days is still 2 days quit. You don't have to fall back down into the pit of doom. You don't have to continue. It's just so hard to quit, but you can do it. If you made it this far why give up now?

In this road to quit, there's going to be moment of despair, where you think you need to cut. Where you feel so low there is nothing else, but to tell you the truth there really is. There is hope and you can be rid of this addiction. I'm really glad that you came here and sought help. My first suggestion to you would be to get rid of those blades so that there is no sort of temptation or anything to use. That way it's a lot easier to not relapse. You can do this I know you can. Start a journal that way you can keep your mind busy. It's not an easy road... I was down it, but you're never alone hun, remember that. You have a support system here whenever you need help or someone to talk to.

You don't have to go this alone. When you start to get that urge to cut immediately get yourself busy to keep your mind occupied. So that way those thoughts can leave your mind, and you keep yourself productive in the mean time. that way your mind isn't always on the urges. Now that school is in session it's better that way you can tone up on studies and keep your thoughts a little bit as ease.

If you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here. Never hesitate to VM me. You're never alone hun, you can do this :hug3:

like they said ^ dont give up. I know its hard but you have to keep going even if its one day at a time. if you feel the urge to there is always someone online who would love to help :) and you can pm me anytime once you get ur post count up..but untill then my vm is always welcomeing questions.
Most of us have been where you are or are where your at. sometimes its better to play the one hr game (or however long you choose) you start by saying "i cant cut for ____ mins" then when that times over you start over and do it again....most of the time it works for an hr with me but there are some really good techniques for distraction on the cutting and selfinjury forum so just read some and do what works for you i know it may seem hard right now but i know u can get through it <3
im always here if you need me :)

Every single day you go without cutting is a huge achievement. Even if you sit there and say, "it's only 2 days" that's still good. It was a slip up, and that happens sometimes. But you can't focus on falling back, you need to focus on picking yourself up again, and moving on.

2 days now, next time aim for 3, and once you've reached 3, say to yourself that you want to reach 10, and then 20, and then 30, 50, 100, 200, and soon, you won't feel the need to count anymore.

People can make it through this, and many people have. I won't lie, it is hard, and it will be hard for everyone, but it very, very possible. Just keep going, and don't worry about slipping up. We fall so we can learn to pick ourselves up again.

If you ever need someone to talk to, just PM me

As everyone else has said really, dont give up.
Two days is still an achievement, I'm currently on two days myself after giving into it on wednesday, so we've all slipped up some where along the line
Just pick yourself back up and aim for 3 days this time, then 5 etc.
You can do it
If you need anyone to talk to, you can PM/VM me

hey, let's not forget, call yourself a mutant for self harm on this site, you're calling a whole lotta others one too ;) there's nothing wrong with you...quite the opposite! so many others haven't even found the will to THINK about quitting, let alone go two whole days! keep up the good work; it'll all pay off eventually :)
