So How Should I Go About This?

Hey, my name is Alex and I am in the 8th Grade. First off, let me tell you that I'm a pretty shy person, you could even say I have a slight degree of Social Phobia. So this year a new person joined my school, who happens to be a girl. I've never had a girlfriend before, and never really found anyone I hit it off with/liked enough to ask out. But there is definitely something different about her, right off the bat we had started talking to each other, and it's gotten now to where every time I'm around her we have a playful conversation about something. I definitely like her, enough to ask her out, but I don't really know if she feels the same way about me. I have very low self-confidence, and consider myself "not so attractive" to put it in the nicest way. She is beautiful, or at least in my opinion, and wasn't going to approach her until one of my friends assured me that I was worried about nothing. So, to put a long sory short, how can I find out if she likes me without being direct?

P.S. - Sorry about any grammar/spelling mistakes, I'm kind of short on time at the moment.

if she is laughing with you and hanging out with you that should be a hint, also if she isnt hanging out around with other guys more than you, go for it! Take a chance, and hope for the best.

Thanks for the advice, and I may try that, but I'd like some way to find out if she is interested by being indirect if possible. I honestly doubt my courage would allow me to straight up ask her out.

I have the same problem :( Some friends told me that I have to hang out with her for a few weeks then just say "Hey would you like to go out with me?" and I screwed up :mad: I mean, I didn't even talk to her... that's the sad part... The problem is that when I talk to a girl that I consider not to be my GF, everything goes well, but when I speak to a girl that i fell in love with I can't even talk to her D:
Once, I got pissed off soooo much that I decided to test a few things. I decided to talk to most of the girls in all my classes, crack as much jokes as I can and just being a nice dude. It actually worked really well and I was very surprised, then I decided to go and talk to a girl that I really liked... and guess what? I f***ed up again...
