Do you agree with them? Do you feel as though it is a form of the government punishing people for drinking and smoking, drugs, and prostitution (assuming the latter two are legal) without outlawing them

I'm against any laws or regulations that try to legislate morality.

I dont know if they are legislating morality, or simply accommodating for higher expenses associated with those behaviors. I know the smoking tax money goes towards heath programs so it offsets itself, a tax on prostitution and drugs would go towards law enforcement in order to offset the crime increase....

Taxes on drinking pay for LEOs to catch DUIs and EMTs to scrape your ass off the roadway when the LEO doesnt catch you or the drunk that runs into you...

I think the money that I would spend for a fine for pot, should come back to me. So I can buy more pot.

in the states its probably different
but in canada with our universal healthcare system i'm all for taxing the shit out of smokes, the cost and strain smoking puts on our health system is immense.

Not to morality; he's referring to those costly (maybe immoral for some religion or another, but still costly) and health-heavy activities and hobbies, much like smoking, taking regulated (but still unhealthy) drugs, alcohol, etc.
