It might be nothing, but why worry yourself, see a doctor to be sure

Although it is true that muscle does begin to form right 'behind' the nipples during puberty, if you're concerned there's no harm in going to get it checked. Any lump that forms quickly is worth getting looked at.

If its like swelling then its normal, everyones nipples/brests swell during puberty. Mine did and i remember having one of the biggest WTF moments ever when I noticed my nipples where swelling.. I was like OMF IM GROWIN TITS! but no.. I asked my older cuz and the same thing happend to him.. Normal. Also, It could be a pimple. Ive gotten a pimple right around the ring of my nipple... It hurt :F Hope this helped...

i had the same thing, but on both. my left was a bit more "tender" than the right. dont worrie, its normal, i thought it was cus i do alot of upper body and core work outs, but it is 100% normal. i had it when i was 13 1/2 and it is gone now, and i am turning 14 soon... so dw, its just a phase and will be gone in 5-6 months :D
