Even if he's not shy around other people, he still may be shy around YOU. If he likes you enough, he may just be bashful. Talking over text is a lot easier than talking face to face for some people, so they just really express their emotions rather that way then face to face. Maybe he's just shy to show how he really feels about you in public.

I agree with Katie, from experience. It's so much easier to flirt over text or IM than it is in person. I, for example, am really shy w/ girlfriends in public, but when they text i am more comfortable expressing myself. Give him time to get comfortable talking with you in person :)

I know for me, Its ALOT easier for me to talk to a girl I like via text instead of in public.

Thanks guys! One of my good friends just said that it might be best to give him time to talk to ME first, instead of my texting him first and starting conversations first...I'll try, and see how it goes :3
