View Full Version : Am I going insane?

Well recently I have been becoming more paranoid, like I have said in other threads and today I reached boiling point I think.

So, I go to a sixth form at a catholic high school (you don't have to be catholic to attend the sixth form). Today, I got the bus home (not a school bus, but an ordinary bus which the school kids also use), and one of the kids (i think year 10 or 11) was trying to intimidate me, so I went on a crazy rant about how catholics are pathetic and should go fuck themselves. I honestly didn't mean what I said. I am athiest, but I have respect for religious people, and would never ever do something like this, but for some reason I just went mental. :what:

They then retailiated and I just felt claustraphobic and humiliated, and just needed to get off the bus, so i went downstairs (it was a double-decker bus) and pushed the emergency door button, and just went home as quickly as possible. Thankfully, the driver can just close the doors and drive off after someone pushes the emergency buttons, but what I did put the bus in danger and I could get in trouble for it. Not to mention what the school is going to think once they find out about my anti-Catholic rant and stupid behaviour. :(

One part of me thinks Im going wrong in the head, and I need help. The other part of me thinks that everyone gets angry sometimes and does stupid things, so I may be worrying over nothing.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks. :)

It sounds like you didn't have a very good day. Sometimes when people start off having a bad day or in a 'mood' they reach a breaking point to where they will say things they don't mean. It happens to a lot of people. Like taking your anger out on other, but in a verbal way. I've done it before and sometimes it's just a mood you're in that ca just push you over the edge especially if someone is antagonizing, it can definitely speed up the process.

Trust me you're not going wrong in your head. Everyone has these days sometimes, but everyone needs somewhere to vent or talk about things too.

The other part of me thinks that everyone gets angry sometimes and does stupid things

Remember everyone makes mistakes. It's just in human nature. Try not to let what these kids say to you get inside your head, just concentrate on getting to your destination. Don't look at them, just look out the side so they know you're not giving them the power to insult you. If you need someone to talk to I'm always here. PM/VM anytime. I really hope everything gets better for you. :hug3:

Thanks for the replies, I really apprieciate it! :)

tbh, I do think I need to find different ways to vent my anger, and not humiliate myself in front of whole bus full of passengers and push emergency buttons lol

It was definatly a bad day, which probably caused my outburst, and I have learned a lesson from it. I have in fact had a warning from my school and almost got banned from using the bus because I operated the emergency button.

I will also try to avoid using the bus when theres a school rush. I might just stay in the library for a while, then get the next bus. When my school finishes for the day, everyone just pushes on the bus and it just makes me a little claustrophobic and which probably contributes to me getting a little angry. If I do have to get that bus, then I will just concentrate on getting to me destination, as you say Goose.

So thanks again for your replies Goose and myskias :)
