I decided to play an immature joke on my friend, a girl. I borrowed her phone, and texted one of her guy friends "You suck".
And now she's really really mad at me, her friend is too, and apparently he won't talk to her?
Come on, I know it was immature, but was it THAT bad of a joke?

A lot of jokes that seem funny to you at the time, might not seem at all funny to another person, even if that person is a friend.

She's right to be mad at you, you know.
As for her friend not talking to her, that's childish. He shouldn't be upset with her about something YOU said.
Does he even know that it was you that said it?

In my opinion that joke was harmless! It seems like she dosent have a very good sense of humor! Same for the guy you texted! I've done much worse and my friends don't get mad:D

She does have a right to be mad, I know I would be. But if you told the guy that it was you who actually sent the text, he should get over it. He shouldn't be mad at her if she didn't actually do anything. But no, what you did wasn't that bad.

Seems REALLY harmless. It isn't like you texted one of her guy friends asking him out or something, I did that, and that did get her mad. I think he is just being a drama queen, if he won't talk to her, he just playing the drama out, that's the one thing I don't like about HS. :P

It was rude to do that in the first place Matt. Although I find it funny, and you find it funny, there is always going to be someone saying "You shouldn't have done it." The kid didn't know it was you, thus believing it was the girl. The girl, being friends with him, probably wouldn't have said that in the first place. I mean think about it, wouldn't you be pissed if your friend picked up your phone and texted one of your girl friends "You're a whore." I sure would. It was also probably misinterpreted as "I don't want to talk to you anymore."
You should apologize. It might make it right, it might not. They may still be pissed at you, but they deserve an apology.
The girls friend is being immature too, though. It's not her fault that you sent that, and he shouldn't be ridiculing her over it. The kid is being stubborn.

Yup, I apologized right away, even though I thought it was an over reaction.
