i lost my dad

in december. he was the best dad ever and he better be in heaven. he was a great person, a loving son, a very loving husband, and the best dad ever he was the best dad to me. he died in his sleep.

I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. I actually know what it's like to lose someone. I lost my dad when I was five, and I've lived my whole life without him. I know it doesn't seem like much, but you're truly lucky for having your dad as long as you did. One of my favorite sangs is "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Sometimes it hurts to think about the times I've lived without my dad, and the times in the future that he won't be there either. But I try to remind myself of the things I did get to do with him, of the childhood I had with him around. And even though it wasn't long, I have a lot of memories. And I'm grateful that they happened at all.

I won't tell you it goes away, because nothing can begin to replace your dad. There's something that's missing in your life that always will be. It never truly does go away. But you learn to accept it and to move on. That I can promise.

It sounds like your dad was a good guy, and for that reason I bet he is in Heaven, and that he's with you whenever you miss him. Sometimes I like to imagine my dad is watching over me, and that really can help. Your dad loved you, and love is something that always lasts; even through death. His love for you still exists, and always will.

I'm here if you ever need to talk things through. Things will get easier, just give it time. Turn to your family members, chances are they understand more than anyone else right now. If anything, this will make all of you closer.
