They recorded 219 songs, 46 of which were top 40 hits, and racked up record sales of 1.3 billion as they defined their generation with words and music that remain as magical as the day they were written.
Now a Top 100 of The Beatles' greatest songs has been picked by a panel of experts assembled by US rock magazine Rolling Stone for a collector's edition. It's coming out to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Fab Four's final album Let It Be.
The Top Ten are:
1 A Day in The Life
2 I Want To Hold Your Hand
3 Strawberry Fields Forever
4 Yesterday
5 In My Life
6 Something
7 Hey Jude
8 Let It Be
9 Come Together
10 While My Guitar Gently Weeps

No one here, except for the Rolling Stone Magazine, has even MENTIONED A Day In The Life.
A Day in The Life is my favorite, but I can't put any others in a particular order.

I just feel that Happiness Is a Warm Gun summarizes everything unique about the beatles into one song: psychedelic and imagery-soaked lyrics, crazy time signatures, abrupt shifts in mood, awesome background vocals, short yet cool guitar solos, and reliable drumming.

my personal favourites are Helter skelter and back in the ussr as they are a bit heavier and rockier than some of their other stuff.

Damn guys, I forgot to put down Revolution 9. We all know it's far superior to any other Beatles song.
