I use to get morning wood all the time. The older you get the less you will get it. I almost never wake up with morning wood anymore.

Its because your body grows mostly at nite while you sleep. So during puberty your body releases more hormones and the buildup of hormones causes wood. I get it everyday. Sucks.

I have morning wood every morning without fail. I think you get them because right after you wake up your body is relaxed. An erect penis is actually a relaxed one; it lets blood flow into it making it erect.
