Giving away condoms at school?

So my school had table in the hallways today with condoms, and oddly, lolipops. But anyway, have they done this at your school? I know why they do it, heck, there are posters all around such as "how is your cervix today?".

But like I said. Who's school is like this too?

I could only wish that my school would be that conscious. My school, in the USA, which I expect is like many other schools in America, especially in the South, only teaches abstinence-only sexual education. They would never dream of giving out condoms. I think that's good that your school is sexually conscious.

Wow, I honestly thought every high school did that!

there were tables with information about safe sex and contraception methods. If we answered a question correctly we got entered into a draw for a prize. On both tables there were baskets and baskets of condoms. by the end of lunch most of them were gone XD.

But wow. I guess our school is "sexually conscious" as guacamole24 put it. Hmm. Interesting to know!

i know they do that at college but i have never heard of a high school doing that. its surprisingly ingenious.

My high school never set a table out for them, but you could always go to the nurses office at any time and pick up a few.

Yeah my school has done that, They kinda give up on that whole "Sex is the devil and your dick is going to fall off if you have sex" and have gone to the "Well we know they are having sex, so why not make it at least safer."

Witch I feel is good and bad in its own ways.

nop, maybe in your school the student are sexually active and they give them for prevention and protection

Since people are aware of teenagers already engaging in sexual acts, and that they can do nothing to stop them, they best they can do is help protect them. My school doesn't have such things, but I sure have heard about it.

I know my school doesn't have it. But, the Health teacher is AMAZING like he will tell you anything you want to know and he told us "If you kids ever need any protection, we have some here, just ask."

dan -- i think it is a good idea to have rubbers given out at school. sex is everywhere and most of the guys at my school are active. good idea to use rubbers to stop babies, and sex medical issues. i think they should give girls bith control pills also. if a guy or girl doesnt want them so be it. i really think it is a very good idea.

neigh -- i think it is a good to do also. this will never happen in my school.
i go to a private all boy catholic military school - but i support any one who wants to use birth control - even if a boy did this in my school all hell would break out and he would be sent back home - most guys live at the school during the week. :eek:

Well since I go to a private christian high school I think there no chance my school would ever come near to doing something like that (even though hardly anyone who attends is actually christian and there are lots of people who have already had sex anyways lol :P)

My school doesn't go that far... but they at least like to remind us to use condoms

Mine did. But the health nurse retired so now the school is looking for a new nurse, rather buy my own anyway. More choices.

My college does this, its a huge priority where i live. We have sexual health drop it centres at lunch time, break time and free periods where we can get free condoms, sexual health screenings and shit. there're posters everywhere promoting safe sex, breast and testicular cancer screenings and of course, cervical cancer.

My school always gives them out. They have a room if you wanna get them. I'm too embarrassed to get one though, and I always see the guys with a pack of condoms.
