Need a Playstation1 memory card if you're playing a Playstation1 game on a Playstation2?

I dont think you do because surely a PS2 memory card should be able to save the data from a PS1 game.

Yeah I'm very certain you need it as they have a different format and memory than a PS2 card.

Yeah, i found this out recently. You can't save PS1 data on a PS2 Memory card. So yeah you'll need a PS1 Card

Really? I thought I had a PS2 memory card with all my PS1 games... it's been about 6 years, so you're probably right :P

You should check out the memory for both memory cards. There is a substantial difference between the two in capacity speaking. Also when saving notice how the logos for the games are way different. I remember I had 4 PS2 and 3 PS1 memory cards :P

Yes you need a PS1 memory card to save PS1 games, even on a PS2.
