E.U to legalize Weed ?

Last week I heard from someone in school that the E.U (European Union) were thinking about legalizing weed, I have not heard anything on the news or anything like that. Has anyone else heard that they are thinking about it or was this just a rumour ?

Tbh, I think they should legalize because if they were to legalize it they would tax it and there would be enough spaces in jail for people that deserve to be there like murderers and rapists. Also if they were to tax it weed dealers wouldnt have anyone to sell to because you can buy it in shops which therefore means stops alot of fights etc. Also if weed were to be legal you could buy it in shops which means alot of people would be smoking it alot more which could mean alot of people would drink alcohol alot less and there would be less alcohol related deaths, and as we all know weed doesnt kill you so it would be alot less deaths in general. Does anyone else agree ?

Yeah but they could be legalizing it thinking people could eat it or put it in cakes or do whatever with it, there so many ways to consume weed rather than smoking it so ? you never know and cigarettes are worse for you than weed.

here weed is already legal
i think its really smart because if you are allowed to do something it's not that exciting anymore and you will do it one or two times, and thats it
