There isn't much you can do for pain with braces really, other than orajel that numbs it. You could try clove oil, but it depends if you can handle stong tastes. Though what i found made it worse was eating solid or big foods, and talking a lot. Because it means opening your mouth more. If you're going to drink something, drink it through a straw for the first few days, it should ease within a few days, mine has and i had mine put in last week. Use orajel whenever possible and try and have warm drinks and soft foods until it subsides.

Not much that can be done tbh... Just take some parecetamol. Ibroprofen doesn't help at all.
Try and stay away from hard foods. Live off pasta and soup for a week, then gradually get back into eating properly.
They should only hurt for a week really, then they'll probably just hurt for a few days when you get them tightened, but that won't be as bad. You'll get used to them after a while, and soon you won't even realise they're there.

I have braces also, and I had the top teeth get done first last month and it hurt really badly from when I woke up the next morning but eventually they will loosen off, but the pain will come back when you get them tightened.

Tylenol? I've had braces for a while, I'm kind of getting used to the pain. Make sure you have wax for your teeth, because if you try to talk, your braces might rub up against the inside of your mouth, and tear it up, and then you won't even want to move your mouth. Try to eat soft foods, and be really careful with your teeth. Tylenol will probably numb your teeth, it did for me at least, for a few hours. It'll get better after a while. :)

Basically, Tylenol, Orajel, and any other pain killer will have to do. You can't get rid of the pain entirely. But the pain will be soon enough :)
