hospital for suicide...

one of my best friends is currently in the hospital with something to do with suicide. i don't know very much i just heard through my friends that she is at the hospital... i'm calling her parents tomorrowto see if i can by any chance visit, or send her something... does anyone know how long she'll be in there? idk if it was just suicide thoughts or she attempted soemthing... she is a self injurer so she may have done something with that as well.. i'm really worried about her... cuz for all i know she could have attempted is at a hosptial due to injuries... i love her.. i really do, in a friendly way..

:hug3: I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you won't know anything for sure until you obtain some information regarding the nature of her stay. Hopefully you'll be able to visit - you should be, at some point. It will be okay though, try not to worry too much for now, before you're able to do anything for her - just remember that she is in safe care now, so she will be okay.

If she is in the depression ward, which if she attempted suicide is very likely, then you will not know when she will be released because it is all determined by her progress, you won't be able to visit but her parents could bring her something from you if they agree.

I was sectioned for a month for multiple attempts & for being suicidal, if she attempted & is still suicidal, she may be in for a while, if she is feeling suicidal, she may be in for shorter than if she did attempt, it all depends though.

thanks guys for your help :) i thought i'd give an update on how she is doing. she is out of the hospital :) and she is much, much better :)
