Okay, I'm new here and I just want to talk to people and maybe get some help from certain people that are willing through PM's. But I tried messaging somebody and it says I have to post 100+ things in order to send them a message. Why is this? Yes I understand what it means, but I don't want to post over 100 things just to have a simple conversation through PM.

You can use an instant messenger like Yahoo or MSN. It's simple to set up once you have e mail at each of them. Lots oof us use them for quick messages, questions or chats. If you look at profiles, some have their MSN or Yahoo address as part of the profile. It's frustrating having a question or something on your mind and no one to share it with. Look at the person's "Contact info" tab on their profile, they may have email and IM contact information there if they are open to random contacts, otherwise you would have to talk via Visitor Messages in the first place.

or you can get their help by posting threads to ask questions in and having them answer it
or send them avisitor message on their profile until you have 100 psts

also we have rules regarding vms

others are that you cannot ask for im information or try to distribute im information through the site including vms,
if they do not list their im details it is for a reason, so do not ask or try to get them to add you
