I'll keep this short so i don't confuse myself or anyone else :)
Fell out with a real best friend few years ago.
He's started talking to me in class (could be just because of the work?)
He seems fine towards me which is not what i expected and it's as if nothing has happened.
I only see him in this class and i do really want to be his friend again but i'm really scared of screwing it up so how do I, you know sort of start it up again with out him like feeling weirded out or thinking I've turned into a freak over the past years.
So how do i do it? How do i start this friendship again.. if it's possible.
Guys, i really cared about this friend. He was like my brother and i was such a prik towards him without realisng it so yeah, it means a lot to me.

What have you got to lose?
Try honesty, openness, directness. A best bud deserves no less. Share ALL your thoughts with him. No tricks, no "techniques".

Talk to him. Or, you can sit down with him and just ask him what his opinion of you is and tell him how you really crave his friendship and you won't make the same mistake that you did all those years ago.
I'm in a similar situation to you, but my one distinction is the person who I fell out with lives in entirely different state, and I have to try hard to get a hold of him. Trust me; it's not easy.

hmm I don't feel i could do that. I really don't want to bring the past back up. I just want to like start over..

Then tell him that; or be like, "hey, my name is KillerKing(:P), and I'd like to start over." Or something of the such. Or be clever about it, y'know? Do something that engages a conversation.

When you lose once it is difficult to regain. Whenever you get opportunity you should take advantage of and just move forward if you concentrate on it once you loose it. It is difficult to get it again i suggest you to forget him it will be better for you.

You obviously don't understand. Forgetting it isn't easy. It's better to try and patch things up instead of not trying. He has nothing to lose.
