I don't know If you've heard about this priest in Florida that plans to burn the Al Qur'an (Islamic Bible) on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks or not. To me, this just sounds foolish. I heard the guy in an interview saying that the Islam religion is deceitful, but if anything, That priest is the deceiver. I am a Christian myself, and if there's anything I've learned in church, it's that Christians are supposed to be passive. So I don't know why a PRIEST would think it's a good idea to do such a foolish thing that may cause even more hate from the Middle East. This guy is making such a huge stunt, that it is reflecting on Americans as a whole. I think he ought to have his rights as a priest revoked.

We've all heard about it. It's just another fringe extremist church, not unlike the Westboro Baptist Church. They hate tolerance. However, it's fully within their rights to do this.

What really irritates me is that they're willing to risk the lives of soldiers in the Middle East so they can get their idiotic message across. A church like this one whose only goal is to troll the entire world and laugh at the butthurt shouldn't be tolerated.

there are always a few nuts in a religion that take things to a different level. he has the right to do it if he wants to and he has a right to his opinions and since they are opinions they are not wrong just different

I've also heard that the only way to properly dispose of the Qur'an is by burning it, but I'm really not sure. But I do know for sure that this priest is a sad, deceitful man, who's strayed from the path.

And I do understand that doing this is within his rights, But a priest doing it just seems so morally corrupt

i think your thinking about the flag when you say that it is the only way to properly dispose of it is to burn it but it may be the same for the qur,an i dont know

And who gets to decide where the line's been crossed? Everything he's doing is covered by the first amendment. You have the right to express a distasteful, downright stupid opinion in America. But freedom must be absolute, or else it isn't really free.

When I said "shouldn't be tolerated", I didn't mean it legally. That church has every constitutional right to burn the Koran, there's no doubt about that. I was suggesting that people should exercise their own rights and do some massive protest of the burnings. I admit I should have clarified that earlier.

OK. Sounds like a good plan to me, so long as the protests stay peaceful.
