As soon as the fires die,
And the mushroom cloud,
Fades from your eyes,
And you see the effect,
And look for a cause,
You thought it was perfect,
And the scientists applaud,
And you have unleashed,
The wrath of your God,
But soon you do see,
you ushered your demise,
As well as those people,
You never will meet,
But no tear from your eye,
Ever meets your face,
Because no matter how many die,
No matter what you can’t replace,
You thought you were right,
But deep down inside,
You think “Maybe, just might,
Have I been wrong?
Did I act to soon?
Did I press the big button,
That ushered their doom?
And you finally realize,
That the doom wasn’t only theirs,
But the entire world has been victimized,
Because you made that decision,
But you made it to fast,
You carried it out with precision,
And you brought their death,
But you come to see your fault,
And that you were wrong,
To begin the assault,
And the truth is unfurled,
That you made the mistake,
That destroyed the world.
