So theyre arent actual sleep meds i used to take one melitonin one trazidone one allergy and it only helped me get to sleep. It helped for about 6 months???? And then just a few nights ago my body got used to it and last night i took an extra trazidone. I got a bad headache dizzy to the point where if i move my head with my eyes closed it was bad and my eyes were to heavy and hurt. Then after that stopped nothing else happened

My POINT? We need to find another psychiatrist whom i can get an ACTUAL sleep aid from, and my ANTI DEPRESSANTS dont work as well anymore.

Im gonna fall asleep at 3 in the morning. Im crying cause it could take a month to find another doctor and im gonna be sleepless. Im very tempted to cut but i dont have anything to cut with not even toe nail clippers. I know thats good but ive already lost so much sleep. Ive had insomnia since i was 6, in now 17, not that that matters

I JUST NEED SOME KIND OF ADVICE FOR ANYTHING OR SOMETHING!! PLZ???? i feel stuck in a dam pit hole and i cant get out.

What I do when I cant sleep is just take my regular medicine and lay down with the lights and tv off. Then, I just close my eyes and quit thinking. Eventually, I fall asleep.

None of my meds ever work. If they do, they fix the problem but create new problems. It's just a sign that you have to keep trying, and even continue trying different psychiatrists. Since every body is different, not all meds can be expected to work.

I'm usually pretty good at getting to sleep, though I have had my share of sleepless nights.

I'm bipolar, and I'll sometimes have nights where my thoughts won't let me sleep. In this case, I take about twenty minutes (less if you are low on practice) to meditate to some calm music. It clears my mind, and usually I'll fall asleep easier. A nice cup of tea or a white noise generator can't hurt also.

Best wishes.

Sometimes, I think people just need to naturally go to sleep. That's how they get use to sleeping so well. Medicines will only affect you more. Medicines will actually ruin your body system and immunity. So I prefer you to just to naturally go to sleep.
