Okay so technically I don't have multipe personalities yet
However I feel that my so called" facets" are turning into their own person.
I keep losing control to one in particular
Is there any way of controlling these other beings? Specifically without having to see any doctors or anything

How do you define the difference between a "facet" and a personality?

I'm curious to that too. Do you mean you had like different parts of you? Or maybe just alter-egos? I'd be concerned if you don't have DID and you don't have control over one, depending what you mean by facets, it could possibly be/become psychosis.

Therapy and possibly anti-psychotics, hun. There's really no way to stop them unless you have the will. Once it gets to a certain point, you'll absolutely need a professional. It'll no longer be a game, or a quirk, but an impairing entity. It's best to get it sorted out now. The more that.... facet, surfaces, the harder it will get for you to stay in your body.

okay thanks guys...
and by facets i guess i did mean alter egos
there's not really a better way of explaining it
they are completely different people, but we have similar qualities as far as fears and hobbies and things go

It can progress to the point though, where you're just so split up. It can start like that and develop, until they're their own people who think completely for themselves.

so ive named all 3 people...
i thought this was a good way to give me more power, sort of claim that this body is matt, and i am matt, and so on...
will this help? or mean more trouble?

It could. I wouldn't know myself, everyone here came with their own names :P

Most likely neither. All it's gonna do is make communication easier. That is, assuming they're OK with the names you gave them. If they aren't, well, that could cause some problems.

okay, thanks guys
yeah, in fact they like the names, so it does help with communication!
thanks again
