Hail holy queen, mother of mercy
(rot in hell, mother of jesus)
our lives, our sweetness and our hope
(your lies forsaken, now you die)
To thee do we cry
(gods whore in spite)
poor banished children of eve
(broken and molested you scream)
To thee do we send up our sighs
(answered by your stds from incest mary)
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears
(your men raping children for glee)
Turn then, most gracious advocate
(while our souls burn in hades)
thine eyes of mercy towards us
(as you FUCK the holy spirit)
And after this our exile show on to us the blessed fruit of thy womb, jesus
(as god kills, joseph plunders and you rape the weeping souls as they bleed)
o clement, o loving, o sweet virgin mary
(watch as i rape you, beg for my mercy as i slit your crippled neck)
pray for us oh holy mother of god
(will you pray for me now as beg me to stop)
that we may be worthy of the promises of christ
(you're dead body orgasmic as i Fuck unrelenting)
amen

I think you're progressing as a poet to a darker, but more symbolically interesting side. This is good indeed.

Why is it that there is an attitude that we mustnt criticise or offend other people's religion but that its ok to be very offensive about Christianity? That isnt a poem, its just a rant.

Nick i'm offended that you would accuse my poetry of being nothing more then a rant as i put effort into it. if you had a problem you should have pmd me but to make a false claim against me was inconsiderate. i was raised catholic hence why i knew the prayer. my poetry is not always on religion and to call my poem a rant is presumptuous of you

Sorry, but I disagree that I should have pmd you. By posting in The Open Book you are inviting criticism, you cant only allow for positive replies. I find what you have written highly offensive and can see no artistic merit in it whatsoever. Others may not agree, and that is fair enough, but its my honest view.

It's her personal feelings and opinions. You obviously don't know the personal story behind this in the first place.

Others = You? You're the only one offended because you wanted to be offended. You wanted to find something by Laura that could upset you so you could complain about her sense you never liked her in the first place.

It's not a rant, it is poetry. Poems can have emotions based on anger, can't they? You obviously can't grasp that understanding in that brain of yours.

I just can't stand anything you fucking post. You're such a closed minded person that makes no sense at all.

What really interests me is how you're saying she should be open to criticism, but you never are. This ads onto your hypocrisy.

And before you piss all over me saying this because I'm defending Laura, I can because she is a friend of mine.

criticism is 1 thing completely writing off my poem as a rant is imo highly condescending of you. i've written poetry for many many years nick and i've studied it just as long i'm sure i have enough knowledge to piece a poem together. this should not be offensive to anyone it is purely a prayer i've hated always. the prayer not the religion. do not be presumptuous nick you see only the surface not the depth i'm sure you've missed much of the symbology the sarcasm and the play on words. the poem you are reading is surface level you have not analyzed this poem and yet you judge it

i don't think you understand this poem. but even so, some people have had bad experiences within the church and the christianity faith so are entitled to express their views. but in this case i believe it was poetry and not ment as a dig at chritianity but a dig at personal aspects of life and the deep feelings and emotions that it creates.

also, a messege to everyone, cut the arguing or infractions will follow.
