Then if I'm with someone that I don't particularly love then sex would be important.

thats more, well not more, but it is just as intimate as sex and girls often preffer it more. Plus you dont have to clean up after cuddling, worry about your skill or how long the cuddling lasts..which is a bonus lol

That's the great thing about healthy relationships. I find myself connecting more with my fiancée, just by holding her against me while we sleep. Or we lay in the tub together. And just hold hands. Sure, sex is still great, and a good way to connect. But like you, I prefer just a quiet moment of the little things. Like cuddling. :)

Well it depends how far into a relationship you are really. There's nothing wrong with just kissing and cuddling, and really there will always be far more opportunities and times when you can do that without going any further. But it would be difficult to be engaging in passionate kissing and cuddling without getting aroused and I'm no great lover of blue balls to be honest. So in the right circumstances I would be lying if I said I always wanted to stop and the cuddling stage.
