I write alot of poems they help me express my emotions, I have over 20 saved on my laptop that i've written.
I'm just sharing one i writ a few months ago, i don't feel like this anymoe but the feelings haven't fully gone.
It's called 'War'
When I think I’m ok.
My mind starts wondering again,
Thinking about things that make me feel worse,
Tearing me apart.
The things I thought I’d got over,
Come back to me,
Haunting my past and terrorizing my future,
Thinking I was over all this, was just a faze,
Because I’m not over any of it,
Not one bit.
I thought the war was over,
That I didn’t have to fight anymore,
And that I could calm down and step back,
But the guns are shooting at me again,
And this time I have to make a run for it.
As soon as I start running,
Things get better and I slow down,
My life’s getting brighter and happier,
Until I’m at gun point again,
About to be shot for the very last time.
