so heres the thing. My family is alright at sometimes but we argue alot. I want to try and impress my mum who is always saying when shes angry that i need to get of my arse and stop being lazy and spending all the time in my room. I want to get really fit and spend alot of time doing things. If i lose weight and become fit i will also stick it to my sister whos always calling me fat. the problem is none of my family wants to excercise with me so i just find it boring. None of my friends ever go out on the weekends much so they wont go bike riding with me or anything like that. So i want to ask you for ideas to help me get fitter but also to help my family be stronger. My dad is very passive agressive. my sister barely talks to us unless she wants something and when she does talk to us she always gets into an arguement with my mum. what can i do to fix this and become a model for the rest of the family.

Go for walks and bike rides. :)

You might also impress your mom by cleaning, doing laundry, or even the dishes. :D

First off, I'm sorry this isn't an ideal situation for your family.

Secondly, if you are going to ever lose weight and change your lifestyle you have to do it for YOU and no one else. Losing weight or doing anything for yourself simply to prove a point is never the right way to do something.

"You are who you're with" as they say. If your friends aren't athletic or outdoorsy, find new friends who DO enjoy exercising :) Try joining a sports team, or a local club/group focused on biking or something.

As for making your family stronger I think you already know the answer - become a model for them. Work on YOU, and inspire them to do the same. you can never change someone, only how you react to them.
