Shipwreck: You're The Captain - What To Do?

Here's something to think over ;)

It's 1820. Your're the captain of a whaling ship. Your boat sinks in a violent storm in a remote part of the Pacific Ocean. You manage to get 12 other people and yourself into a small lifeboat. Yaaaay. But you have two problems. You have enough food and water to last about two months if you ration it carefully. You're 3000 miles from the nearest place to get food and water. It would take 3 months or more to get there if youre lucky. No ships ever go the way you sailed so being sighted by another ship is VERY unlikely. You start heading for the closest place. Six weeks pass. Some of the crew are getting very weak and sick.

VTer's, you're the captain. What do you do?

Limit everyone to small meals, one a day.

Take advantage of winds and currents and cautiously use all of our energy to speed up the boat.

Let the sick people be sick and possibly die. Attempt to aid them with slightly more food and water, but not enough to starve everyone else.

Not all. Just enough that your supplies should allow you to make it to shore. Otherwise you have no one to help you propel the boat.

Let the sick die in comfort, try to keep em warm etc. Ration supplies, if it comes down to it I'd kill off the weak and useless to ensure survival for those who have highest chance

Another two weeks have passed. Things are getting desperate. Almost all the food and water is gone. One of the crew members has died.

kill all the rest of the sailors -- hope they r fat - cook the bodies by smoking -
making slim jims out of their bodies. with the left overs (guts) i will use them for fish bait. if there is sea gulls around i might use the guts for bait. nothing like sea gulls for a late night snack. drift wood i would set a fire so other small ship or small tourist boats could see my fire. i would not start a fire for a ship over 10 people. when the boat or small ship lands i would do them in also. by this time i have been custom to eat humans,
and the sea gull by this time i have tamed to be like chickens on a farm. sea gull egg,
and human meat -- what more can a man ask for -- i might keep a girl on the next ship to come. to cook and clean up after me. might have some other use for her also. if she did not work out i would feed her sea gulls to the point of her getting to 300 lbs. guess what is next 4 her. ohhhhhhhh it taste sooooooooooo goood
