My dad doesn't live at home and it's just my mom. How would I ask her to shave my face, I want to het a razor, but idk? I k ow I could go out and buy one myself but my mom would notice that I was shaving. So how did you ask your parents to shave?

Whats the big deal? Not like your shaving your pubes, just ask your mom for a razor and that you need to shave your beard. She wont really care.

And shaving is really easy, just get some shaving cream, smear it over your hair, then go over it with a razor until its all gone.
Not rocket science.

My mother was against the idea of me shaving, so I just ignored her and taught myself how to shave. It's not all that hard to do, but if you're using any kind of blade, show mercy. I do it about once a week now, sometimes twice. It does get tedious after a while, but eh. I don't like having a full beard, so it has to go.

This might help. (http://www.ehow.com/how_2116_shave-face.html)

Why would you need to ask your parents to shave? It's your body, you can shave if you want.

Just don't press too hard or go over the same spot too many times or else you'll end up with razor burn.

Hey dude I thought the same thing before I asked my parents to shave, but they were actually happy because I stopped looking so ruff all the time! haha

I often press a bit harder than I should and don't realize it, but that is mainly on my neck. I like to have it smooth in both directions and I have really sensitive skin, it actually took me a few years to get it down without any irritation (tried tons of products and stuff).

If you have sensitive skin make sure you use good aftershave along with shaving gel.

Just go out, buy one, and use it. She might say something, she might not. My mom didn't say anything when I started, it isn't anything to worry about. What you do with your body hair is your choice, not hers. :P

Just go up and ask her. They will understand every guy has to start shaving one day.

Its not something you need to feel embarassed or ashamed about, kids look stupid if they dont shave when they start needing to. Its just a normal part of growing up and your mum will know you will need to start shaving anyway.

My parents were both happy when I started shaving too. They were more than happy to supply the razor, lol.

Also, when you first start shaving there's no need to use shaving foam/cream. The hair will be so fine that you'll be able to use just water.

She shouldn't have a problem with that. Just ask and she should be understanding!
Shaving is all part of becoming an adult. You can't be a kid forever ;)

i think she won't mind at all ... except for the part that she will teach you how to shave i think it's too easy for teaching...just grab a razor, put some shavnig cream on your face and gently slide the razor where you grow hair till it's gone =)

Just remember to go AGAINST the hair, which means if your hair is leaning to the left, go from left to right with the razor.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that.

You should always shave in the direction that the hair grows. For example - my facial hair grows down, so I shave down. If you shave against then the razor is literally ripping the hairs out.

Dude just go buy some of the orange gillete ones. I found its best to shave in the shower under the spray. Then trim up the edges in front of the mirror after you get out. thats just what works for me. i hate all the creams and foam and aftershave stuff. gave me pimples. Whatever works for you man.
