View Full Version : Mommy, I love a boy

Hello Mommy
I have something to say
You’ll be shocked I know
But it’s honestly ok
I know you’re proud
I know you love me dearly
I know you’ve taught me how
To live my life out clearly
You’ve raised me like you should
Like only better mothers would
Teaching me to be polite
And showing me life’s alright
Mommy you’re my bestest friend
A friendship I hope to never end
So when I tell you my secret now
I know you’ll love me any how
You’ve taught me one important thing
To always cherish those I love
In my heart those words will ring
Mommy please, just one last thing
I love a boy
It’s hard to say
Because now you know,
That your son is gay
He treats me well, like a prince it seems
Don’t worry too much, it hasn’t been long
I don’t want to hide from you,
That would feel wrong
I’m in love with a boy,
And I’m your son too
I love you mommy,
That’ll always be true
I hope you aren’t crying,
Or dying inside,
Cause right now I need mommy,
I’m done trying to hide.

I love it, it's perfect.
I do have one suggestion, it might be because I've been doing homework this entire week, but if you were to change this line:
Like only better mothers would
to:
Like only the best mothers would
I think it would flow more evenly or something. I don't know.

Thank you all :)
Autumn I appreciate the constructive criticism but it actually seems like it would flow less to me *shrugs* simply a matter of opinion I suppose :)

Yeah, I guess you are right actually. I think my way adds too many syllables to the line.

It just depends on what pace you read it at I guess :)
But no worries, I do appreciate your input though :)
Most people don't understand that constructive criticism is also like being polite >.<

Ryne, its been a few days, I guess I'm not the only one that is hoping for an update on this. I hope you had or have the courage to go through with it because its a great way to come out and if your mother isnt moved by that she would have to have a heart of stone.

Thank you everyone.
Nick I'm still planning on doing it, hopefully next week after I get to see my boyfriend again on sunday. If I keep up my courage I'm going to do it monday... I appreciate that support.
I'll admit, I'm terrified.
