how to block someones number?

if i don't want someone calling me how do i block thier number? what happens when you block someone's number on your cell phone; do they just get one of those "this phone has been disconnected" messages?

I'm sure you would have to talk to your retailer. I haven't been able to find a way on my phone.

Best I know is how to send it straight to voicemail, which should be an option under their entry in contacts.

This option depends on your service provider. For me, just to test it out, I googled "*service provider* block numbers" and the first five pages gave the same information on how to block numbers. If you can't figure it out remotely, bring it into the store and they can direct you further.

I know some phone companies offer free services to block numbers. It really depends on who your provider is or maybe what type of phone you have.
