I don't want to complain but someone gave me a negative rep for my posting question about what I should do because it's raining outside. I mean no normal person would think anything I said in that thread was offensive. I was asking for ideas on what I could do to have some fun. Jeeez

This is what happens when you're on a forum and both good karma and bad karma is enabled- you get people giving negative reputation unnecessarily. But, honestly, it's all based off of personal speculation. I still feel like the whole operation is rather tedious and if some guy doesn't like you then that just means your doing your job right - If you can live your life without being critisised for it then your not doing anything worth remembering.

Though it's not worth arguing over something as small as a green blob on an internet forum. It's definitely not worth getting in trouble for am I right? If someone doesn't like you let them be. Ignoring them doesn't give them the power to carry on, on you. Things in life aren't fair, such is life.

There is most likely a reason that this user gave you that negative rep.

Did you, for example, post that thread in the completely wrong area?

Like someone posted something about music (that had nothing to do with anything) in the Mental Crisis forum once a long time ago and I neg repped them because that was purely stupid and terribly impolite and maleficent.

If not, then yeah, that's stupid and you should definitely appeal it (though as others have said, the appeals process can be rather complicated if it's not a clear cut case).
