From afar I saw her standing there,
An angel incarnate with golden hair
To compliment the crystal hue
That composed her alluring eyes so blue.
But it was when she first spoke
The upon my words I began to choke,
Stuttering and mumbling in an uncanny way
As I stammered to find the words to say.
"Hello" wouldn't come correctly after a thousand tries,
But she simply giggle at my pathetic replies.
And with the laughs, on her lips a smile was traced
And so too my fleeting doubts were erased.
With all doubt forgotten and left behind
And at last clambering to some sound state of mind,
I knew she was an angel as true as can be,
A godsend from above, sent just for me.
And surely as I noticed a sway in her hips
I felt the gentle touch of her lips.
Taken hand-in-hand and sealed with a kiss,
Together since, I've known nothing sweeter than this.
