What is a troll?

An internet troll is somebody who harasses other anonymous users, often based on race, ethnic group, religion or even hobbies. They are known to derive pleasure from upsetting people.

Why Do They Do It?
It is truly unknown why these cyber-bullies do their dirty deeds. A lot of times, they are unable to look beyond the whole "anonymous" coil and realize that there truly is somebody else on the other end with feelings.

Is It Common?
Yes. In my case, I have been harassed by countless trolls during my time online. In present time, they are especially crawling around Youtube and most other sites where they can remain entirely anonymous.

What should you do if you are being trolled?
This may be a given, but trolls feed on emotional response. Even more so than your normal cyber-bully. Dueling against these people all of my life, the whole "ignore them" conception works wonders. You can respond to them, but your best bet there is to just laugh and tell them how amusing they are to you. The golden is to never get upset, if the troll notices you are getting upset he will often reply with something such as "u mad" or "butthurt faggot" (Their way of saying you're pissed off). The troll's goal is to get you upset- and they believe they "win" whenever they are able to accomplish this task.

If you can unmask their anonymous stature- by all means do so. Trolls do not often mean what they say (If they begin to use abusive slangs like "faggot" and the "N" word, they aren't always racist- they just do it to invoke response) and many of them are actually very unskilled in the field of computers (most of them can't hack you- but don't get too cocky with them. You never know.). Trolls must remain anonymous, or otherwise their trolling time is over. Good for you, bad for them.

There is also a small band of people that you may call "Moral Trolls"- these are a subdivision of trolls who fight other trolls. That is, they bully the bully. I happen to be one of them- I can help anyone who comes to me asking for help at getting the trolls back. I have lived among the "bad" trolls once, and I had realized what I had done was a poor choice on my part- although that was years ago when I truly hadn't an intelligent mind. I'll help you all out the best I can, so just message me and I'll try and give some more advice to you.

More Likely - people who really have the real ability to "hack", aren't really from the "Troll" groups. They are not that low. Using Keyloggers and other nonsensical softwares and methods are Trolls real tools.

Well, sad fact is, I am one of the only ones hovering the internet. I did have an online friend who used to partake in the moral trolling with me, but he has resorted to the terrible kind of trolling. As a guy who's been in this business for months now- it involves a lot of serious shit. At one point, I ran the risk of being "doxxed" by one of the most evil of the Youtube Trolls (I doubt he's still there- but his name was "ColdSoulKillah"). He had already done the procedure with innocents (like that friend of mines)- he creates an account with ALL of your information on it. I was willing to take it, because as a moral troll I shed any self-regrets to protect others.

Not all websites have reliable monderation like VT though.

I'm not a "Moral Troll" I don't fly around the interwebz looking for damsels in pixel rendered problems, a trolls one weakness is logic....and making them starve but whatever.

I like trolls. I find them a great way to make people see the other side of life and deal with frustration head on.

BTW, True Trolls are not going to be offended by anything and there's nothing you can to do really stop them. Trolls just don't give a shit. You guys need to understand when you face a troll, there's only one good way to stop what is going on - Leave the page you're on. I mean, unless you're somehow able to fight back them, that probably means they're not a troll but just some fail troll that's thirteen years old and just found out about memes.

Actually, we call them moralfags, and they make absolutely no difference whatsoever. Trolls don't get off on being assholes, they get off on your response to it. I don't really have a reason to follow the rules, except to add to the "theme" of the poster I made. I mean, it's not like WHENEVER I'm talking about [CENSORED] I actually censor it.
