So most of us go to school with dances, but alot of the schools do different things! So how does your school dance? Do you have any rules about the dancing at your school?

We do a lot of grinding in my school and we have a 45% rule no girl can bend more then that while dancing

I hate the school dances around here with a passion, I rarely ever go to them unless whatever club or society I'm in forces me to "support the school".

They're so terrible that, in middle school, they made you wear school uniform to the dance.

Someone just needs to throw a "metal dance" with headbanging and mosh pits :D

My High School doesnt have them that often, but in middle school they had them quite a bit. And you had to pay like 5 bucks, wear uniform, and buy your own drinks/refreshments, and the music SUCKED!

Yeah, a majority of teenagers have shit tastes in music. The dance was pretty much a playlist of every terribad modern pop song from the last 3 years. There was nothing good, except when they played half of "One" by metallica after we asked over 9000 times. It was epic, but nobody else joined in on the headbanging, and they changed it to more shit afterwards >_>

I'm not willing to support a school that forces me to wear one of the worst dress codes ever designed and can't throw a party for the life of them. Just because I go to that school doesn't necessarily mean I want to.

I happen to like my school's dances...there's no real rules...nobody seems to care about grinding or making out, etc, as long as you aren't like having sex in the middle of the crowd. =P Plus, for the most part, the music's pretty good and I get to see a bunch of acquaintances from my classes in one convenient place.

Nothing really interesting happened. They were called "dances" in middle school. All we could do was listen to mediocre music in the lunch room and stand in a group (no one danced xD) or go to the library ans listen to some more mediocre Karaoke. Though I will admit some of them were pretty good. I remember a friend of mine did a song: Modern English~I'll Melt With You.

Our school dances weren't anything amazing. They had strict rules about grinding, what not to wear (i.e. incredibly skimpy clothes) but they played some good dance music (many songs were shit) and had lots of nice lights. The school dance in my senior year was the only one I didn't stay in for long. They decided that because so many students wanted to DJ, they finally let them. They turned the music so loud it was deafening and the bass was just too much. Many people walked out saying it's too loud and the teachers also complained. They stopped the music, had some students fiddle with it (the "jocks", not the bright ones who could make it work properly) and then started it again. It was not as loud but no bass. Third time they tried and it was back to being way too loud with too much bass. At the end, pretty much everyone left while the "DJ's" were still trying to get it right.

We never got any dances with good rock or metal music. Many students didn't like it same with many teachers. Students voted on the style of dance, some voted rock/metal but the majority didn't.

We really only have homecoming and prom. Apparently they used to have morp for freshmen and sophomores, but they've gotten rid of it. They're nothing special, really. In middle school they had them quite frequently, but they refused to call them dances. In my area, mainly private schools have dances. But their mixers are sketchy.

The rules at my school aren't very strict. I made out with someone right on the dance floor.

Our rules aren't very strict for the most part. The dress code is enforced sometimes, depending on what personnel is there. Our principal doesn't usually make people leave/change for clothing, but our assistant principal does.

Dancing isn't very strict at all.
