What do you do when someone, who is in an understandably shitty situation, latches onto you for support and you're too old for that?

I have spent, literally, my entire summer with this one person and I don't have the heart to tell them to FUCK OFF AND LEAVE ME ALONE.

What kind of support? Well when a friend seems to become obsessive and you feel that you're too old then you need to tell him that you need some time for yourself. Explain that everyone needs time to them self and also explain that in you would like to do other things. Even though it is telling him to "Fuck off and leave you alone" it's a better way of putting it. Make sure he/she knows that you do care, but tell them you need some time to chill for yourself and to do other things.
