Over summer I got out of schedule and would forget to eat and not realize that im hungry. Over several weeks of this I've ended up with a lack of appetite. Now that school has started I'm trying to get back into a routine im feeling the effects of how messed up my body has become, I feel quite weak and get tired quickly. I want to get my appetite back but i no longer desire food and i feel full after small servings. I am going to a doctor tomorrow so hopefully i can figure it all out but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or has experienced a sever reduced appetite and could help me out with how i get around it.
thanks

I wish I could be like that..
I'm gonna try to eat every other day to lose weight, I'm to fat... And the days I do eat, I'll only eat stuff like salads, maybe a turkey patty or something.

Daniel, please try to eat everyday. I'm no weight-loss expert but maybe try eating smaller portions or healthier foods and exercise. The repercussions of not eating are simply not worth it. For me, when I lost my appetite, I began to feel sick when I did eat and now barely eat at all. I've lost about ten pounds and while you may think this is what you want... it's really scary that I lost it so fast and in the way that I did.
Please think about this: on the days you don't eat you will be hungry, you will get heartburn, you will lose the habit of eating regularly. Once this happens, you'll feel tired, have less stamina, lose weight in a really unhealthy fashion, possibly become worried (and, in my case, more depressed), not feel the hunger you once did and possibly feel sick every time you do eat.
It's not worth it. ):

to gain back the appetite the key is to Eat. eat small amounts, then gradually go to eating more to gain back ur normal appetite.
Daneill.... dear.. that is the WORST way to lose weight. you can eat three meals a day and lose weight. if you starve yourself, then after a few years when you decide starving isn't the best option, you will gain more weihgt then before. this is from personal experience. i starve myself... weeks i'm fine and i can eat normally i gain a ton of weight... and fat, even when i eat heathliy. the doctor exlained this to me when your body thinks it's starving itself it holds onto every meal in the form of fat this way it has something to digest when it's hungry basically. i explained it pretty badly but it makes sense. and the above is true too ^^^^^

I have the same problem.
Have you tried working out often? Do something that requires energy, and by the end you might feel some hunger.
