Scariest Game You Played?

Well I never bought games under the "Horror" title like Resident Evil etc. but some games I bought were really scary and the scary parts were always the parts I coincidentially played at night with noone in house lol.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune : Those zombie-like pshycos are damn scary since you have little ammo but many of them .
Fallout 3 on Very Hard difficulty: After some 10 levels ghouls called "Glowing Ones" will appear and they glow yellow and attract radiation to you and deal some serious damage.
Oh and, for the F3 players who want some horror... Dunwich Building....
Resistance: Fall of Man : Even in the first level where you are in the Conversion Centre I was so scared taht I stopped playing the game for some 5 months! Good think it was always outdoors in Resistance 2.

Resident Evil was kind of actiony, and was lacking the real essence of horror. I tried to get my hands on System Shock 2, but unfortunately I couldn't.

I have played F.E.A.R, DOOM 3, Half life + 2 and even the Resident Evil series - but these aren't scary things.

Take Silent Hill, Alone in The Dark, even Clock Tower and Fatal Frame are much scarier than the aforementioned ones. I mean, Waxworks on DOS scared the hell out of me!

Since FPS give you the 1st person view point alot of shock value can be added into games. A perfect example is in F.E.A.R 2 when your searching the apartment at the start of the game, your walking along and you just see something loitering in the corner of the screen, you actually realise it's been their for quite some time, you look down and OMG! there's a fucking little girl staring at you :eek:

The Alien vs. Predator demo on Xbox, it sucked to be a marine, you either saw aliens scrambling on walls around you and making noises, or you saw the hunters moving around, then you suddenly get killed, your like "holy shit what just happend?!", scary shit
