All right, so on my t.v. I decided to hook my 360 up to HD because last time I did that two years ago the t.v. lost the ability for sound a couple of days later, so I've been paranoid to do it. So I set my small nineteen inch t.v. to 1080p, and I was wondering if it could hurt the t.v. at all. I enjoy being able to read text fine now, lol... But the only the problem is BC2 looks different, in a bad way.

I'm surprised that the sound would F up on you as on HD ready tvs the sound reproduction is also suposed to be in HD as well, trust me you wouldn't be damaging the tv in any way. The reason BC2 looks bad in HD, is because it looks bad in general, you have to actually sit with it for a while tweeking the in game settings to make it look even slightly normal. Try taking the in game contrast setting right the way down. The wee boxes to tell you you've got the right settings don't work well for this game.

I don't think the HD was the reason, but I just got paranoid and thought it was, lol. And BC2 looks good in standard definition since I've seen it hundreds of times in standard, so I think it looks good, haha. But I'll try doing that.

some parts are too dark and some parts are just way too bright in the game, i got tired of the constant fiddling with the settings and sold it.

I went to the options and I didn't notice any difference. It just looks griddy on my t.v. I've seen it in HD on my friends' big ass fifty five inch t.v. and it looks better.

It could also be your screen that's doing it.
1080p looks waaaay different on a 55" than on a 19".
Same amount of pixels, same resoultion (1920x1080), all squeezed down onto 19" of real estate. Something's bound to be smooshed, and look 'gritty'. Try turning down the sharpness on your TV if it's looking real gritty. Should solve the issue.

I decided earlier to change it to 720. Read Dead Redemption doesn't look gritty, so I guess I fixed my problem, but I haven't played BC2 yet.
