Irregular period cycle, is it possible I could get it too?

So I was wondering, My mom has an irregular period cycle, she only has her period once a year,
of course it didn't started like that, she use to have a normal cycle than after she turn 18 it started happening only once a year,

Its kinda a miracle I was born but what I am wondering is this;

Will I get an irregular cycle too?

currently Its normal, but I'm wondering if it would change like my mom

You might do, you might not do. It's just one of those things.

I think all the females in my family have had normal menstrual cycles, and are able to concieve. I, on the other hand, rarely get periods, and I haven't had one in about 8 months either. I'm convinced this is because I have an iron deficiency, stress or lack of nutrients from food (I have a bad diet, and I've tortured my body with my eating disorders). Who knows.

Try not to worry about it, becaue it's neither likely or unlikely this will happen to you. It can happen to anybody.
