It is because the skin is sensitive. This will happen the first few times you shave. Next time, try rubbing some lotion on it once you have shaved :)

I think it happens really often. I don't shave down there but I've seen many posts about this.

I have never shaved it completely (just trimmed, try that out next time if you haven't already), but I've heard from other people (friends, etc.) that shaving it for the first couple of times is horrible.

Hang in there. :x

Try do this way. I shave my pubes when i am showering or after bath. So about 10 min i am in hot water, before i start shaving. Then, firstly i will get the shampoo and make foam on the pubes. Then i start carefully to shave. Might take 10-15 min. I get into it so i do not see the time :D . And after i shave my pubes fully. I wash that area once again with shampoo and lukewarm water. Then i just towel my self and put on my briefs.

I haven't used after-shave losions, yet, for the pubes, because i find it working this way excellent.

And, first, if you have lot of pubes, cut them with scissors, before you start shaving, it will save time. ;)

PS. For the balls, be careful, even i find more easy to shave the balls, than the rest. But be careful. And try to have them tight, i mean the scrotum.

Same issue here. I find it is best to shave in the shower, you need lubrication between you skin and the razor, IE shaving cream or soap and water. I also get little shaving bumps, but I have sensitive skin. Don't ever shave dry, and sometimes you can't shave against the grain, it can cause irritation. I hope I helped. :P

I did it 2 hours, ago. I am fine, for now. :D the shower is the best option to soften your pubes and relax your skin, plus some lubricant as budarmstrong said. After that you won't have any problem or irritation, even you shave against the grain, but careful and slowly, but you don't need to, in a day they will grow up again.

And the itching after a day is normal, your pubes start to grow again.

I find that shaving is more comfortable and women like it better (at least the ones I have come across) sometimes, when I get a really close shave, it nice just to touch. Lol is that weird?
