I think it was around 2/3 weeks ago I first went to see my GP. She called me on monday to tell me she had called Social Services and they'd be getting in touch with my parents soon.
Obviously I freaked out and I called my college to try to get in contact with my counsellor or my tutor, who knows all about my situation, and after speaking to like a million different people I got to speak to someone on tuesday from Social services who met up with me for a chat.
I tried to explain that my reasons for SH are my own issues and not something I want my parents to find out about. She said she was concerned about my 13 year old brother because of the situation at home, but I managed to give a good argument.
She told me she would call me after speaking to her managers and let me know if they were still going through with the visit, which she did yesterday. She told me they weren't going to go through with anymore of this, as long as I saw yet another specialist.
This guy is Irish and he's apparently really good. He's a specialist self harm counsellor and he has a really good reputation from everyone I've spoken to about him.
I'm meeting with him on monday. He called me and he told me he was worried etc, but I haven't cut in over 3 weeks, and so I tried telling him that and that I don't really need to see him because I haven't done it in so long. But he said I still need to see him because otherwise Social Services will get back involved.
I don't wanna go and risk this whole thing starting me cutting again, but if I don't go then I'm risking this whole pile of crap with my family, that I can't even begin to explain.
What do I do?
