We're "Related"

Ok so i am just being curious right now... I am friends with this girl at school, an I just recently figured out that we are related and are cousins going back about 3-4 generations i forget which... so we are friends now and have been before this but i was wondering if this would be weird or incest if we ever have a relationship in the future??? i really never thought that this would happen with someone i know but am just wondering... thanks!

well 3/4th cousisns i think wouldnt count. Its not like its your sister or something.

yeah i think anything like 2econd cousin or futhre is legal and not considered incest

Anything past closer than a second cousin is considered incest, so I wouldn't worry about it, and I think it's okay.

You guys are probably related by law more than blood anyway

I reserve insest for immediate family, like brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, aunts and grandparents. If you are the same age, or within say two or three years, even first cousins really don't count as isnest because you don't share enough blood with them. I do suggest if you are opposite sexes that you use a condom because you DON'T want to get her pregnant. :P

Since she's like a third cousin then it wouldn't count much for incest since the relation isn't close.

that is untrue. my parents r first cousins. they made sure with a doctor and a lawyer.

umm 3/4 isn't too bad, but the gene pool may still be similar

Okay... Incest is a legal term that varies from place to place. So, to say that "that's not incest to me..." is off the point. In reality, I doubt this would be incest. The more important question is does it make you uncomfortable? If it does, just stay friends/cousins.
