My dad, my dads dad and my uncle are REALLY hairy. I'm 14 in a couple of weeks and I have pubes and a little peach fuzz around my lip. I have about maybe ten dark brown hairs in my armpits. I was just wondering is body hair heridity? Like is it passed down? Will I get as hairy as the men in my family?

It really depends on what side you get that specific gene from.

Most likely yes... but it does depends on the specific gene you got from when you were conceived...me... same situation... and it unfortunately hit me..=(.. i hate it, but you me come to like it...

you really have a 50-50 chance since you have both your mother and father genes but if your trait are more like your dad you will most likely be hairy :( sorry men

Probably, but not definetly. I am 17 and my dad has chest hair while i don't. i show no signs of chest hair either

Body hair is through genes, but you might get it from your mother instead. But I think it's an even chance, so you might end up very hairy. Or not. Just watch and see.

I inherited my hair from my moms side of the family, cause my dad has no hair on his legs and I have tons of it.

i got my dads genes cause i have the same build as him and im almost as hairy as him and hes hairy but its not like dark will mines a lil opn the darkside but i got my moms body hair color wich is creapy lolz

Generally hair comes from your mom's side of your family. Look at the men of your mom's side, and that should be a good rep of where you will be, although I am not as hairy as them, little bit different. :P

well like some people already said it depends on the trait, but with this specific trait ur dad's is prob the stronger one so odds are yes
