View Full Version : I'm worried.

Ok,I have been kidding myself on some things.
I have overused some of my medication, and I know it's wrong. And it's not until I got to this point that I am calling it abuse.
The reason I am calling it abuse now, is because I have been wanting to try something more... But my morals are stopping me, but how long can that last?
I'm almost to the point of saying "whatever" and just going on to try it...
I guess any drug is a gateway drug...

Well, it was zoloft, and I know it's prescribed, but still something I have over done.
I want to try LSD, heroin or something of that nature.
BUT, Thats what I fear is that I'll realize someday that I've made a mistake.
I don't want to make it in the first place. But I have a very unstable and shrinking will power at the moment. I just don't know what to do.

Just think that after you used those drugs, you are in jail with criminals. Then maybe your willpower will be stronger. Why did you even consider it in the first place? Good luck.

Why do I consider? The nagging voices in my head. Nothing will let me rest, hence the failing will power. But I think maybe I should just look into a prevention program or something. Does that even exist?

hmm well avoid hard drugs like Heroin, Cocaine, and Meth.
LSD is pretty safe, physically anyways
Mentally, i cant say, it depends on how stable you are mentally
LSD is called a trip for a reason man, thats what it does, it takes you on a trip through your own mind, you'd be amazed how little we know about ourselves. How much our own minds hide from us
If you decide to do another drug, id suggest being very careful in your selection, if you have any friends who are more expereinced in this, have them around
Im not suggestiong you do them, just if you do, be careful and do your reserch
Erowid. Com < great place for information on pretty much every intoxicant ever
Bluelight.com < a drug harm reduction sight where you can post questions and read posts about drug harm reduction and such
LSD, Shrooms, Marijuana, Mescaline, DXM, Ketamine, Nitrous Oxide, MDMA (ecstasy) can all be very fun and very enlightining experiences for the mind and body, mostly mind on these specific drugs, but they are all relativly safe if you dont over indulge and know what you are taking and have done your reserch
never ever ingest any drug, perscription or not, (doesnt matter if doctor gave it to you, still look it up and decide if you want that substance inside of you) without first reserching it. Even doc perscribed shit can be bad for you, and if you deny it and talk to the doctor about your concerns with the medicine, maybe they can give something else instead

I'm not that mentally stable, but I don't know anymore. I don't want to get in trouble.
But the nagging is getting old.

Are you a member of a Church, or is there a rather LARGE one close by?
Ministers/Fathers (Presbyterian/Episcopal) deal with these issues in teens, and will be glad to help you. It doesn't have to be a "religious" thing; Just walk in - ask to see the Rector, sit down with him and talk.
They have "tremendous" resources and connections that you could never envision.
You're engaging in "self-destructive" behavior, and need to "air out" your feelings with someone of faith (whether you are instilled with faith - or not).
Please - stop immediately, and go get help.
Good Luck!

Illegal drugs are illegal for a reason.
Other than supporting terrorist groups worldwide, they are bad for both your physical and mental health. Given that you aren't all that mentally stable in the first place, drugs could be the worst thing you could ad on top of it... it won't stop anything, it will just make it worse...
Please stay out of 'em, they will only harm you even more...

how does doing LSD, Mushrooms, DXM, Homegrown Marijuana, and Ntrous Oxide supporting terrorists? :|
honestly, many drugs can be very benifical to ones health and mental state
at that, think about this, medication is given to mentally unstable people in mental instituions, medications are still technically drugs
Trust me, dont buy into what the government says, alot of it is exagerated and straight up lies
when done right, you can ingest almost any drug safely, you just need to know what your doing or have someone around that knows

to OP: if you feel mentally unstable and decide to do a drug, i would say start with something very weak (not suggesting you do them at all, that is you personal choice, i am simply giving my opinion on harm reduction and nothing more) Something like Marijuana for example. it isnt very powerful compared to most drugs, the effects are instant if smoked so you can gauge how much you take in, if eaten in things like brownies or firecrackers, they elimanate pretty much all the health risks because your arent inhaling smoke.
Then again, i personally am a bit mentally unstable as well and, in my personal experience, Psychedelic drugs have actually made me MORE stable then i used to be. But thats just me, they may not work like that for you.
If anything, Dissociatives more than anything stabalized me by allowing me to analyze my own mind, thoughts, and life without the emotional attatchment to them. Dissociative drugs are things like Ketamine, PCP, DXM, and Nitrous Oxide. They can all be used safely if you know what your doing, yes, that includes PCP. I have smoked it 1 time by accident (lacing weed with PCP and not telling the person smoking it isnt fucking funny 1 bit) but it turned out to be a very interesting experience to say the least, and no, i didnt go crazy with rage or anything like that.
again, im not advising you ingest illegal substances, simply giving my opinion on harm reduction if you choose to do so. I cant make you take anything, and i cant stop u from taking anything, all i can do is give information in the hopes of reducing the harm of you ingesting something.

Well, using heroin technically supports Afghanistan, because around 90% of the world's heroin is made there.
But don't do any hard drugs like that. If I were you, I would research the HELL out of whatever it is you want to do, think about it twice, and then if you still want to do it, go ahead. No one can stop you from doing what you want to do, but they can tell you that it could be a bad decision.
If I were you I would go with things that are physically safe and non-addictive.

I'm really confused by what you're saying right now. You over-used some of your prescribed medication. So what? If you consciously decided to do that then you are fine. It seems like your sanity is going more than your will power, because you THINK you're not in control.
FYI, a gateway drug is a sort of myth. It's something that those cops that came into your elementary school tell you to scare you. Only PHYSICALLY addictive drugs will get you in trouble (ones that are already mentioned in this thread). Anything in the world can be called a gateway if it's something you enjoy (i.e. I enjoy driving fast so when I drove my Uncle's ferrari I kept wanting to get faster and more capable cars).
No offense, but I almost find it ridiculous that you "abused" your prescription meds and all of a sudden feel the urge to do heroin. Do you even realize how serious that drug is? LSD is not in the same realm. You can trip out on LSD and have a good time. It's a conscious decision every single time you do it. Heroin is a conscious decision the first time and then a physical need the more you do it.
I'm in full control of my life and so are you. Would you mind sharing what drugs besides your meds you've done? If you haven't done any I would urge you to start WAY lower than heroin. Try weed, maybe shrooms, perhaps LSD. These are all drugs that bring you back to a sober state in a reasonable amount of time. Some will say "well, heroin does too!". Yeah, and then the next day you feel an urge to shoot up again because it was so awesome. In a few weeks after that you're shooting up all the time because you NEED it.
Good luck.

Most of those are pretty harmless if used in reasonable doses on occasion, but I really don't agree with nitrous oxide. I'm nowhere near antidrug, but nitrous can be somewhat dangerous and isn't really in the same category as any of the others.
Anyway to the OP, welcome to life where we have temptations. Thoughts like these have crossed everyones mind, but you're really talking bout drugs that are in completely different ballparks. Heroin and meth are the main ones to avoid as they will promote a major change in lifestyle and ruin lives very easily, but there are other drugs on the same level and you should definitely read into anything you consider trying.
