Hello...
Since this forum has the same threads, and the same answers, why can't moderators for said forum choose a best answer to put at the top of the thread, so the same advice won't be given over and over?
Thoughts?

We do have that in most forum announcements and sticky threads yet people still do it. New members aren't going to read every thread and post they are going to make a thread, get their answer and leave, so no matter what we do it's always going to be the same threads and the same answers.

That's what it sounds like to me.
And that throws the whole idea of a 'thread' off. The purpose of a thread is to have replies to a certain topic in sequential order. You start messing with the order of the posts in a thread, and you basically confuse the hell out of anyone trying to read the thread. As the timestamps are all out of order.
Now, if we had a sort of post rating system. Where we could rate individual posts, so you could look at the ratings for each post and decide if it's good advice or not.

Yes, something like Yahoo answers- but I do like the idea of keeping it in sequential order. But I do get tired of seeing the same answers 20 times.

Problem: The 'best answer' isn't always the best answer.

Try seeing it thousands of times. It's something we all deal with, if we wanted it to be like yahoo answers, we'd go to yahoo. People come to this site for peer advice, not a simulated answer that is "drafted" they want to know what people know and how they differ from others.
