The Humane Slaughter Act (HSA) requires that livestock be stunned and thus insufferable to pain before slaughter.

Currently the law only protects livestock and excludes poultry, rabbits and fish.

Personally, I feel the law should be modified to cover the aforementioned animals. The effort beforehand is vital to ensure the animal doesn't suffer unbearable amounts of pain during the slaughtering process. It takes minor labor to ensure as well.

For anyone wanting more information on the humane slaughter act. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humane_Slaughter_Act

Yeah, it should be changed. I just don't know about fish, though...

Seems like a waste of time and money on fish for some reason.

I wouldn't say for fish, that's pretty pointless, but I'm all for protecting chickens and rabbits.

Umm, sure.
Im all for humane-ness :P

Why discriminate, nearly all animals can feel and experience pain, especially chickens so I think all of them should be under the law
