I personally like the game when it first came out... Then again the first few weeks that the game was out there was no such thing as a 10th hack. The game got boring after people starting doing that stuff. Nothing in the game was fair anymore.

I'm switching from call of duty to reach for my shooter this winter I think. Black ops looks just as bad.

Modern Warfare 2? Yes.
Call of Duty? No.
3 and 5 are great and will always be great, 4 isn't anywhere near as bad as mw2 but it's still not as good as 3 or 5.

3 was fantastic. I have so many good memories of that game. Lol. I had sooooooooooooo much fun on that with one of first XBL friends whom I still talk to.

I thought that the first 3 CoD games were good. WaW had a good story, and i enjoyed Mulitplayer for a while, but got bored.
Modern Warfare was ok. MW2 was just a thouroughly crappy game. I mean, all Call of Duty console games are just the same game with a few things changed. no radical new game engine, no simplified user interface, no updated HUD. It's just a different "skin" on the same game 7(?) times over.
I like Hal o multiplayer mostly because of the costomization options, and the fact that is is much more easygoing. Even when it came out, there was no discrimination between an Private and General.
Now Call of Duty is a regimented hierarchy of the people who have palyed the most, or arein the right clan, and those who are new to the game or just don't play that much. My brother plays it and is brutal to other people while playing the game, and vice versa. Camping is a major offense, as is any kind of lucky kill as that is "modding"
Call of Duty has shamed itself. That is why i look to more refined FPS like Halo or even Transformers: WFC

That's why I stick to RTSs and RPGs. I love shooters though (in my opinion) they are quite shallow compared to others.

Black Ops will have skin and weapon customization ( like adding signs, patches etc )

Black Ops will fail because it'll be the same as MW2. I was hoping Treyarch would make their own multiplayer like they did for 3, but nope. Just copying IW's again. Call of Duty is a terrible game series now. There is a new one each year, which is bad.

Probably taken from other games like Halo and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (if i recall, you can change the equipment for a new look on your multiplayer classes)
Also, When Black Ops comes out, there will be a bunch of people going hard on newbies...which i hate. I think that when REach comes out, it will be a much more dedicated community, since only a chosen few [million] have decided to stick with Halo instead of just abandon it after ODST came out.
whereas black Ops will have billions playing each day. See why you should always go with Halo children? (it does actually have a story too, not just strung together deployments and takedowns)
