Now i know a lot of you dont want to worry about school. But Eversince 4th Grade all my binders would be broken down by January it would be Messed up, and almost unusable. Now I am going into 9th Grade, I want durable Binder! Dont give me Case it Binders ( I despise them). Tell me what a good binder is that will last 180 days!!

just use one binder - one that you can zip and stuff. those don't break that easily. you can put all the subjects in there. That's what I do.

I usually just get new things before the second semester starts. :P I've tried so many different binders. But either they fall apart or the rings inside them break and become uneven and don't let you hold anything in them anymore. xD

A trapper-keeper? Those are great, but many teachers ask you not to use those as you can get unorganized.
I think that you should just take care of your things better and all problems will be solved.

weird, I'm never unorganized when I use a trapper keeper. :/ maybe it's just me then. I like the put all the subjects in one binder, so I don't have to worry about getting the wrong binder...like some people have binders for different subjects...also I can't put like seven binders in my backpack..

I guess it's based upon personal speculation.

5 star binders have always been a trusty brand for me that broke. I usually duct tape it though too to make sure it doesnt fall apart. I am with you on the Case it binders though...i hate them :P

Smaller binders seem to be more durable around me. When the binder gets full, transfer the stuff to a large binder that you keep at home. Currently in university, I don't use binders. I use accordian folders that I bring to each class and this folder has all the stuff in it for the current and previous class. Handouts, labs and such all go in it. At home I toss the stuff into polyvinyl folders, one per course and everything is already dated so if it gets out of order a bit, it can easily be reorganized. If I print off the lecture slides, they go in the accordian folder to take to class then get dumped into the polyvinyl folder. Writing down lecture notes all go into spiral notebooks so each lecture is automatically in chronological order and each course gets its own notebook.
Only time I use loose-leaf lined paper is when I'm making study notes, number each page and staple the thing together to go in the accordian folder or polyvinyl folder.
I avoid usage of binders because they take up too much room, transferring many notes into large binders is annoying and if I ever need to take them to class, they're clunky and love to break. I keep much of the stuff on my computer organized in the same fashion so it makes it easier to get later on than using binders.

lol i can fit four regular binders, two paper cover workbooks, 500 sheets of paper, two spiral notebooks, a composition book, all in my trapper keeper though i usually dont because as you can imagine that would get very heavy.

Personally, I hate binders.
I generally just take my netbook, a small 50-page notebook (http://tomitagiken.blog3.fc2.com/blog-entry-90.html) for each class, and a folder for loose papers.

Binders are evil. I'd much rather use a folder and notebook.
However, some teachers do want you to have a binder. Just get one to start out with, make sure the rings aren't too flimsy or whatever. Halfway through the year, you can get a new one. I always stick it out with mine, just because, but a lot of people replace them.
